Kibbutz Naan has announced the appointment of Itzhak Gat as co-chairman of the board of NaanDan Jain Irrigation Systems, jointly owned by Kibbutz Naan, Israel and Jain Irrigation Systems, India. Under the partnership agreement between Kibbutz Naan and Jain, each party will appoint a chairman. In June 2007, on completion of the merger, Jain appointed Anil Jain as co-chairman of the board.
Itzhak Gat, CEO of the Elisra Group, has filled a number of executive management positions, including CEO of Raphael – Israel Armament Development Authority, CEO of Polar Communications, and VP of Challenge Fund-Etgar, a venture capital firm. Itzhak Gat succeeds Amiel Sade, who has served as chairman of the board for the past five years and who led the partnership agreement between Jain and NaanDan.
